You don’t have to go to the gym and lift heavy weights to improve the way you move! Clinical Pilates can make significant improvements to the way you feel and move your body. 

Phyx You offers 2 types of pilates based groups:

Clinical Exercise

(Formerly called Clinical Pilates)

Our clinical pilates trained physiotherapist assess and treat your problem by using an individualized exercise based program, specific to your needs. The Clinical Pilates assessment identifies directions of movement that aggravate and relieve your problem, and looking at how smoothly your body moves. Clinical pilates is specific exercises to facilitate better movement quality. Working with your body’s preferred movement not only build’s quality movement patterns but also restores your body’s strength, improves mobility, stability, balance, posture and resilience against injury!

Your Physiotherapist will continue to monitor your response to the exercises to make sure you are progressing in the right direction. Clinical Pilates is not a pilates class.

Phyx You has the only 2 Certified DMA clinical practitioners on the Mid North Coast!

A group circuit class with pilates based exercises to challenge your body’s control, strength, stability, coordination, balance and posture. Each station will have a focus to challenge different aspects of movement, and can be modified to allow you to complete the exercise without aggravating your injuries/pain. 

During the classes we use specialized spring loaded equipment such as the reformer and the trap table to help build fundamental movement patterns, as well as functional equipment to improve movement quality for everyday tasks.

Exercise doesn’t have to be hard and exhausting to make significant improvements to your movement!
