Let our TPI Certified Golf

Physiotherapist help you improve!

“TPI does not believe in one way to swing a club, rather in an infinite number of swing styles. But, we do believe there is one efficient way for every player to swing and it is based on what the player can physically do”

How will this improve my game?

TPI have developed a comprehensive physical screen based on decades of research and studies – comparing the world’s greatest golfers to amateurs. Based on this screen, we’re able to get an understanding of what your body can physically do and how we can further enhance your body to improve your game! The physical screen provides information as to what your swing may look like. Our therapist will record a slow-motion video of your golf swing to get an in-depth analysis of the key areas to work on and improve to allow you to strike the ball more efficiently and powerfully!

Assessing all components of a golf swing from the feet, legs, pelvis, thorax, neck and arms! Helping to improve issues including:

Specific technical problem (“I keep slicing my shot”)

Specific pain or injury (“my knees hurt after a round of golf”)

Specific weakness or movement dysfunction (“I get a painful lower back after a session at the driving range”)

“The body works in an alternating pattern of stable segments connected by mobile joint. If this pattern is altered – dysfunction and compensation will occur.” – TPI’s philosophy of mobility/stability alternating patterns.

This 12 week program consistently creates players who are more accurate, create more distance and are empowered to further progress their abilities through the knowledge they have obtained. Further, many players can finally enjoy the game without pain. The main concern we hear from players thinking about undertaking a program like this is that they fear we may ‘dismantle’ or play with their swing. Our belief is that there is no one correct way to swing a club, we believe there are infinite variations. But we do believe there is an efficient swing for each person based on what they can physically do. As physiotherapists, we aim not to adapt your swing, but rather build the conditioning, flexibility, body awareness, stability and power that you need. This can be invaluable and it is why every PGA player is now advised by a medical team.
